Stop Assuming

How many decisions do you make based on assumptions?

Have you ever considered how often your assumptions are drawn from misreading a situation or misinterpreting what someone has said?

Assuming is one of my biggest pet peeves.

And making decisions based on assumptions can be destructive.

Especially since when our assuming usually has a negative impact.

We assume someone doesn’t answer us because they don’t like us, or they don’t want to do business with us, or some other negative statement that moves things down the wrong path.

Take the steps to gain clarity.

Instead of making assumptions and ultimately making decisions that will impact all involved, ask questions so assuredness is the guiding force, not assuming.

Have the confidence to want to reach a place of understanding, use curiosity to explore and gain insight.
